In this blog, I want to share my senior living journey, why I remain committed to the industry, the biggest myth I believe exists, and how to help others overcome the myths surrounding our beautiful Vitalia Highland Heights community and services.
With a background in physical therapy focused on working with seniors, transitioning to senior living was a natural and enjoyable move for me. As an Executive Director, I still have the privilege of interacting with seniors. I also have the responsibility of alleviating many of the behind-the-scenes pressures associated with physical therapy..
The residents are the driving force behind my daily return to our community. Their unique perspectives and vibrant personalities never fail to brighten my day. I cherish the laughter and connections we share.
One of the most pervasive myths about senior living is the belief that there’s nothing to do. Our communities offer a plethora of incredible events, outings, and entertainment opportunities every day. There’s always something exciting happening within our community.
To dispel this myth, we regularly invite prospects to our events to socialize and experience the vibrant atmosphere firsthand. By allowing them to “catch the vibe,” they can see for themselves the dynamic and engaging lifestyle our community offers. Our current residents play a crucial role in this process. They enthusiastically welcome prospects and showcase the lively atmosphere that defines life in our community.
